Deputies save a womans life not once but twice

Life-saving Medal

On May 31st, 2018, Deputies Armanino and Bray were dispatched to a medical call at a dental office.   They arrived on scene and found a woman unconscious, and not breathing. Deputies Armanino and Bray quickly took over providing CPR.  The patient started breathing but stopped again.  The Deputies continued to work on the patient until the San Carlos Fire Department arrived and took over care.  She was then transported to Sequoia Hospital.

The Fire Captain on scene stated that the woman likely would not have survived without the heroic actions and swift response by Deputies Armanino and Bray.  Their actions are a testament to their character and professionalism and serve as an inspiration to their peers.  Both Deputies Armanino and Bray showed the dedication and commitment to serving and protecting the citizens of San Carlos, and demonstrated the very best work ethic that is expected by members of the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. It is for these reasons that this woman is alive today.

As the Sheriff of San Mateo County, I would like to recognize Deputies Armanino and Bray for their instinctual and selfless life-saving actions and award them the Sheriff’s Office Life-Saving Medal.
